Valchandji
Valchandji, born in 1953 in the small village of Dhanla in Marwar, Rajasthan, was a man of remarkable vision and character. Despite having no formal education, he stood out from an early age for his generosity and a strong work ethic; he was not only generous with his belongings but also with his time and energy. Valchandji, the second son in a well-to-do family of Parekhs, was introduced to the family business very young and started a new venture in money lending and jewelry at just 15 with his elder brother, Parasmal, and another partner, Tejraj.

papa was born in Dhanla, Rajasthan and stayed with his parents Jeevraj Jain(Kaku) & Chauthibai Jeevraj(Kaki) Jain till 11 years.
Papa was given in Godh(Adoption) before his birth, but in 1964 he officially moved with the adopted family to Mumbai.
As a teenager he started his first shop Premraj Parasmal in jewelery & moneylending with a partner tejrajji. He was further joined by his younger brothers.
Papa got married with Gunvanti Devi(Maa).
Papa's first son Manoj Jain is born.
Papa's second son, Bharat, was born and he expired in 15 months due to jaundice.
A family financial crisis led to Kaku selling their village shop
Papa's second son, Sanjay Jain(1), am born.
Papa and younger brothers Bhikamchandji $ Amarchandji diversified in different shops. Papa brought a small shop in vile Parle, Mumbai & started Manoj Jewellers. Manoj, pap's first son, joins Manoj Jewellers.
Kaku passed away after a prolonged illness.
pratik Jain, Papa's fourth son is born.
Papa did trade of different shops and made a considerable profit during this period.
Papa with a very passionate desire bought back the family shop in village.
I Started visiting the family shop for a couple of hours every day.
With the profit generated, he bought a shop in Agarwal Market and started Manoj Ornaments as a new entity, while Manoj Jewellers remained operational. I joined the family business full-time and started with manoj Ornaments.
Kaki Passed away.
Manoj passed his Chartered Accountancy and started his CA. practiceby opening a new companycalled Manoj V Jain & Company.
Papa bought another big shop in Agarwal market for Manoj Ornaments.
Papa ensured to restore his family home in village which he got from his parents in jaydad and renamed it - "Maa Chauthi".
Papa bought another big shop in Agarwal Markket for Manoj Ornaments.
Papa was detected with Cancer.
He renovated the family shop in village and built another home in village.
papa had a cancer relapse, and this time it was worst.
Papa departed to the other world, ensuring he fulfilled his wish of seeing Pratik married and organizing a surgical eye camp
Manoj Jewellers & Manoj Ornaments today are global entities with offices in India, Dubai, Hong Kong and the US.

In 1964, Papa moved to Mumbai with his adopted family and studied at Dave High School. Despite knowing his adoption, he accepted life with grace, lovingly calling his biological parents “Kaku” and “Kaki.” Born into a time of hardship in Rajasthan, he was one of five surviving siblings out of 14 children. Papa honored both families with devotion while quietly longing for a deeper connection with his biological roots.

Chapter 26-Manoj Bhai’s CA Practice
Papa played a pivotal role in Manoj Bhai’s career by purchasing a shop next to Manoj Jewelers to set up his Chartered Accountant practice. He strategically connected the two businesses, referring clients between them to help Manoj Bhai gain a foothold. Papa actively promoted his son’s work and ensured he had support during the critical early years. This was Papa’s way of securing a strong professional foundation for his children.
